Omniboost is proud to announce that we are now a Datev API Certified Partner, expanding our accounting connectivity capabilities across multiple hospitality platforms. This certification affirms that Omniboost can integrate with the Datev API in a source-system agnostic manner, meaning we do not need to recertify for each POS or PMS integration. Whether it’s Mews, Guestline, Lightspeed, Shiji, or Cloudbeds—the API functionality sits on top of our unified platform.
What Does the Datev API Actually Do?
The major improvement over traditional Datev exports lies in automation and delivery. Previously, Datev files were sent via email. Now, with API functionality, files are automatically uploaded into the customer’s Datev environment—streamlining processes, eliminating manual handling, and reducing the chance of errors.

This enhancement extends the financial data delivery mechanism with smarter automation.

What Customers Need to Know
To use the Datev API integration, customers must:
- Upgrade their Datev subscription to support third-party API data delivery
- Configure their Datev environment using Datev-provided documentation (note: quality varies)
- Work with Omniboost support to ensure mappings and API connections are correctly set up
The Datev API functionality has already been integrated for the following systems via Omniboost:
- Guestline
- Shiji
- Mews
- Lightspeed K-Series
